Standup Smith
Coming soon

Geekbot is the mature per-person bot. We are a flat team price with a blocker loop.

We checked Geekbot's pricing page on 26 Oct 2026. Geekbot is the better pick if you want polls, a free plan for 10 people, or a bot you can use today.

Geekbot is the standup bot most engineering managers already know. It runs async standups in Slack and Microsoft Teams, lets you customize questions, and on its paid Basic plan posts reports in a thread, exports CSV, and includes Geekbot AI. It is a serious product.

Standup Smith exists for two reasons. A 20-person team on Geekbot Basic pays per head. And listing a blocker in a report is not the same as chasing it the next working day.

A 20-person standup on Geekbot Basic, billed monthly, is $60. The same 20 people on Standup Smith Team is $19. If all 20 also answer a Geekbot poll that month, add $20.

Geekbot bills only the people included in standups, not your whole Slack or Teams workspace. That is fair. It also means small teams pay less: 6 participants on Basic is $18 a month, a dollar under our Team plan, and up to 10 people can use Starter for free. From 7 people up, our flat $19 is lower than Basic billed monthly.

Where Geekbot is better

Free for 10. Our free plan stops at 5. If you are a 7-person squad trying a bot for the first time, Geekbot Starter is the better trial.

Polls and surveys. A real second product, billed separately, with AI poll options. We do not sell polls.

Breadth. 25+ templates, anonymous reporting, and engagement summaries on Basic, plus Jira, Google Calendar, and Asana integration on Enterprise. We ship three questions, a digest, and a blocker loop.

Unlimited history on Basic. Our Team and Business plans keep 365 days and Scale keeps 1,095. If you need every report forever, Geekbot Basic wins.

They are live today. We are on a waitlist. If you need a bot now, buy Geekbot.

Where Standup Smith is better

A flat price for 7 to 20 people. $19 against $21 to $60 on Geekbot Basic billed monthly.

Blocker follow-up as a daily DM, not a line in a report. Geekbot reminds people to submit the standup. We DM the owner of a named blocker every working day until they close it. That loop starts at $49 on Business, not at $19.

Gulf weekends on the calendar. Business includes UAE and KSA public holidays and Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday weekends per member. Geekbot lets people set out-of-office periods, but you enter those days yourself. If your team is US only, this does not matter.

Threaded digest on Free. Geekbot keeps thread posting for Basic.

Who should not switch

Keep Geekbot if polls are part of how you run the team, if you need an API on day one, if you have 10 or fewer people and Starter already fits, or if you need Enterprise options such as volume discounts, a dedicated database, or custom security assessments.

Join Standup Smith if you run one to ten standups, you hate per-head math, and your real problem is blockers that die in the thread.
